Silence

What do you do when you are witness to something so horrific that you’re left speechless?

What do you do when you’re privy to information that is undoubtably, a national disgrace. A national shame job?

What do you do when you’re privy to information that would cause national outrage if you exposed it?

What do you you if you’re told you’re not to tell anyone about anything you’ve seen or heard, and not given an adequate reason why?

What do you do, when national outrage could spur a knee-jerk reaction that could be catastrophic for Anangu people?

What do you do? Who do you speak to?

What do you do when you lie awake at night worrying about the safety of your family?

What do you do, when you know that there must be a ministerial level cover-up going on, for this to be allowed to happen in Australia in 2015?

Do you stay silent? Or do you shake the tree to see what falls out?

Or does no one actually care about what’s really happening up here?

I care. I care deeply.

Inaction is Complicity.

The standard that you walk past is the standard you accept.

  1. Ah not good. Which is more damaging, to say it or leave it unsaid? Or can there be a way to say it? There surely has to be a way???? Big hug lovely lady – your heart is big and strong. And in the rights place.

  2. Thinking of you, whatever you choose it will be a hard choice to live with I’m sure. choose the path that will allow you to live with yourself and trust those that love you and yours to stand by you. You are loved and supported, there are many who will fight for the Anangu. Do not despair, there are many who will stand with you, to carry this burden or to bring attention and justice where it is needed. Can the ABC help international media? People are angry, they are looking to fight some already try..

Huge hugs, good luck and much strength for the journey ahead I do not envy the burden you carry, but there is huge amounts of respect for the person who is strong enough to live with it ❤ you are truly an inspiration, your journey has been amazing to follow and speaks volumes about the incredible person you are. Trust yourself, you will choose the right path to walk and walk it proudly leaving footprints in that beautiful red soil that surrounds the place that sings to your soul and you can call home.
